Despite losing more than winning last week, we are slowly the closing the gap to get to .500 ATS. Week 6 of the college football season is here and we start on Friday night in California.

Record ATS: 30-41

Over/Under: 5-6

Leans: 11-8

Friday, Oct. 4

New Mexico (2-2) @ San Jose St (2-2)

Line: SJSU -6.5, 67.6

Scoop: Both teams head into this one off a loss, but SJSU beat Arkansas 2 weeks while NMSU has lost 7 consecutive conference games.

Play: SJSU -6.5

Saturday, Oct. 5

USF (1-3) @ UConn (1-3)

Line: USF -11, 49

Scoop: USF has won the last 7 in this matchup, but we are going UNDER here. Will also lean UCONN +11 who are 9-1 ATS after back to back losses.

Play: Under 49

Purdue (1-3) @ #12 Penn St (4-0)

Line: PSU -28, 56

Scoop: Penn St has a big one on deck @ Iowa next week, but this is a B10 game. Nittany won by 38 last year and are 7-0 ATS after a rood win (59-0 last week @ Maryland).

Play: PSU -28

Maryland (2-2) @ Rutgers (1-3)

Line: Maryland -13, 56

Scoop: Weird game here. Maryland started the season 2-0, got ranked then have had back to back bad losses. Rutgers has 1 win and it’s against UMass. Rutgers got pummeled by Michigan last week and Maryland was shelled at Penn St. # is high but Rutgers stinks.

Play: Maryland -13

Kent St (2-2) @ #8 Wisconsin (4-0)

Line: Wisky -35, 59

Scoop: Wisky has a big one on deck with Mich St, but should bounce back after a lack-luster 24-15 win vs. Northwestern. Wisky should win comfortably.

Play: Wisky -35

Baylor (4-0) @ Kansas St (3-1)

Line: KSU -2, 48.5

Scoop: The Bears are on a roll. They were up 20-0 last week as a DOG against Iowa St and hung on to win, but a W is a W. This will be a nail-biter but we will stick with the hotter team.

Play: Baylor +2

Western Mich (3-2) @ Toledo (3-1)

Line: Tol -1, 72.5

Scoop: MAC games are really tough to play, but so much fun to watch. Both have explosive offenses, so lean over the big total as well.

Play: Toledo -1

Bowling Green (1-3) @ #9 Notre Dame (3-1)

Line: ND -45, 62.5

Scoop: Another spot like Wisky…ND can win by however many they want. Backdoor covers worry me, but BG stinks.

Play: ND -45

Arizona (3-1) @ Colorado (3-1)

Line: CU -3.5, 62

Scoop: 2 plays here, taking the Buffs at home and the over. Arizona is 0-1 on the road losing to Hawaii and has played the next 3 at home. Trend says the over has hit in the series in 7 of last 8.

Play: CU -3.5, over 62

Mass (1-4) @ FIU (1-3)

Line: FIU -26, 68

Scoop: Another 2 player here…Asking why I am taking a 1-3 team give 26 points? Umass has lost the last 2 in this series by allowing 63 points in both games.

Play: FIU -26, Over 68

Tulsa (2-2) @ #24 SMU (5-0)

Line: SMU -13, 64

Scoop: I’ve been on the Pony Express for 3 weeks now and no reason to jump off. Could be closer than many think. Tulsa off a bye, SMU doesn’t get on until next week but the Ponies are 5-0 ATS this year.

Play: SMU -13

Cal (4-1) @ #13 Oregon (3-1)

Line: Oregon -18, 46.5

Scoop: Cal has a QB issue and many are saying the spread is way too high. I think the Ducks flex their muscles here after a bye week.

Play: Oregon -18

#16 Boise St (4-0) @ UNLV (1-3)

Line: BSU -22, 57

Scoop: Boise off a bye week and UNLV is off a 36-point loss @ Wyoming after losing their QB and RB.

Play: BSU -22

Leans:

Boston College +5.5

UConn +11

WMU/Toledo over 72.5

UNC/Ga Tech Under 49

Va Tech/Mia Under 47

Mizzou/Troy Over 66

SDSU/Col St Under 51.5

WKU/Old Dominion Over 42.5

Mich St/Ohio St Under 49.5
