Degenerates Guide to College Football Week 11

by Chad Cooper

What a phenomenal weekend in Week 10… 15-3 Against the Spread! We hope you have tailed with us as we are on a 52-30 ATS run over the last 4 weeks of college football. No gimmicks. Let’s get it.

Record ATS: 82-71

Over/Under: 16-16

Leans: 42-29

Saturday, Nov. 9

Maryland @ #1 Ohio St (-43, 66)

Scoop: Drama with the Buckeyes as their top defensive player is suspended for taking a loan. Won’t matter. You’ve now pissed off OSU and they might score 60.

Play: OSU -43

#12 Baylor (-2.5, 48) @ TCU

Scoop: Yes, Baylor struggled last Thursday on national TV with West Virginia, but they have had 9 days to prepare for TCU who lost at OKST last week and now has QB injury issues.

Play: BU -2.5

UMass @ Army (-34, 61)

Scoop: Army has QB injury issues, but wow Umass has allowed 61 ppg over the last 3 weeks. I could play QB and beat Mass.

Play: Army -34

Stanford (-3, 55.5) @ Colorado

Scoop: Colorado has allowed 30 or more points in every game this season. Stanford gets their QB back and should beat the Buffs by 3 or more.

Play: Stanford -3

UConn @ #20 Cincinnati (-34.5, 55)

Scoop: Cincy played horrible last week on the road and escaped with a 3-pt win over ECU. UConn is bad. Their defense is allowing nearly 40 points a game…Yes this is crazy spread, but Cincy needs to make amends for last week.

Play: Cincy -34.5

#2 LSU @ #3 Alabama (-6, 63.5)

Scoop: Well, well, well. We have all waited for this game. Bama hasn’t lost at home since, IDK when. If LSU and the world’s greatest offense can’t beat or cover this spread, they might as well hang it up. My only concern is how bad LSU defense is. Over likely in play as well.

Play: LSU +6

UAB @ Southern Miss (-7.5, 50)

Scoop: So Miss has lost 7 of the last 8 v. UAB. If QB for UAB is out, I am bailing on this pick, so check the status of Tyler Johntson.

Play: UAB +7.5

#16 Kansas St @ Texas (-7.5, 57.5)

Scoop: Tom Herman is on the hot seat. His defense is ranked nearly last in college football. The Whorns have had a BYE week to prepare for KSU, who BTW have won three straight including TCU, Oklahoma and Kansas. UT giving 7.5? I’m in.

Play: KSU +7.5

USC (-2.5, 55.5) @ Arizona St

Scoop: These 2 have scored a lot of points in this series. ASU has dropped the last 2 games against Utah and UCLA and need a good showing here. Hoping for some big plays late in the game to get us over.

Play: Over 55.5

New Mexico St @ Ole Miss (-28.5, 64)

Scoop: NSMU has allowed 82 in their last 2 games against CMU and Georgia Southern and have one of the worst run defenses in football. The Rebels should lay the wood on the Aggies.

Play: Ole Miss (-28.5)

Georgia St (-2.5, 76) @ UL Monroe

Scoop: Monroe can’t stop the run and GSU avgs over 250 yards per game. Love the Panthers here. GSU won last year at home by 32 pts.

Pick: GSU -2.5

Appalachian St @ South Carolina (-5.5, 51.5)

Scoop: App St had their dream season come to a halt Oct. 26 losing to Georgia Southern. SC routed Vandy last week and need to win 2 of the next 3 to become bowl eligible. App St will play like this is their Super Bowl, and we just need SC secondary to make a few stops.

Play: SC -5

FIU @ FAU (-10, 60)

Scoop: It’s the Shula Bowl and need the trend to buck as the dog has won 7 of 10 here, but FAU has dominated the last 2 meetings and believe they do it again here.

Pick: FAU -10

#5 Clemson (-32.5, 54) @ NC St

Scoop: Ok NCSU is 5-1 as a home dog v. Top 10 teams in the last 9 seasons, but they are catching Clemson who have a bad taste in their mouth after being “disrespected” with a No. 5 ranking. NCSU was embarrassed last week at Wake Forest. Imagine what CU’s defense will do to them here.

Play: Clem -32

Leans:

Boston College -2

Duke +8

Army -34

Illinois +14.5

Minnesota +6.5

BYU -17

Charlotte -11.5

South Alabama +7

Iowa St +15.5

La Tech -4.5

Fresno St -5.5

Wazzu -7.5
